Six Reasons Business Owners Choose WordPress

Posted in: Articles|Tags: Article, featured, SEO, Tips, Wordpress

WordPress has become one of the most popular website platforms out there. It’s no longer just for bloggers, but is useful as a powerful content management system for any type of website. Why should a business owner change over to WordPress?  Here are six of the main reasons business owners prefer WordPress to power their websites.

1. WordPress is easy to update. A business owner with a static site may need to call the web designer every time some content needs to be changed. WordPress is easy to use. After a short training, anyone can update the content. The web designer only needs to be called when the design needs to be updated.

2. WordPress has great Search Engine Optimization or SEO features. There are several features and additional plugins that WordPress uses that makes it easy to optimize SEO, even for a novice. These plugins make it easy to add in a description and keywords for every post or page. A business owner can try different key words and using various statistics programs see which pages his customers are finding first.

3. WordPress popularity means that there are a lot of web designers who are familiar with the system and willing to design unique designs for it. Between the competition for the jobs and the ease of design, a great personalized design doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg.

4. WordPress is easy to customize. There are literally hundreds of plugins by different developers that allow WordPress to take on specific duties. Other developers will customize plugins for the exact needs of a business owner. There is little that WordPress can’t be programmed to do (or not do) and is limited only by the imagination of the business owner and web developer.

5. WordPress is open source. This means it’s free software. There are no fees to using it and anyone can program and develop for it. A business owner will find that this is a low-cost way to make a great looking website with only the cost of a designer and perhaps an employee to update the site regularly.

6. WordPress has been around the internet for a long time, meaning it’s pretty evergreen.  There are developers who depend upon WordPress for their livelihood. It’s likely to be around in one form or another as long as the business is around. Additionally, with so many people invested in it, the developers will continue to update and upgrade the features and functions that users love.

WordPress is a powerful content management system that has capabilities well beyond blogging. More business owners are finding they like the ease with which it can be updated as well as the great unique looks they can achieve. Additionally, WordPress is free and there are many developers allowing a business owner to choose one who has a style they like. Now has never been a better time to use WordPress.

I agree! There is a mailing list email address with support operators that you can send to for assistance. I have always gotten a ton of response when I’ve needed help.
